Ahoy, I’m Kent.
An Art Director based in Toronto with roots in Nanaimo, BC. I started out as a graphic designer and photographer, and that curiosity for creativity has only grown. With a background in advertising and design, I love turning ideas into visuals that connect, inspire, and bring a little joy along the way.
What people are saying about me:
“Organized, responsible, smart, dedicated”
“Stupid hippo, bright, enthusiastic, determined”
“Your always chipper and bright, even when your not having a good day....and even in the morning!”
I’m not an artist.
At least, that’s what a young version of myself would tell you.
I’ve spent years designing, drawing, photographing, and doodling It felt like a hobby, nothing more.
It started with photography — capturing light, framing moments, and finding beauty in the everyday. That curiosity evolved into a love for design, and eventually into a career that lets me connect creativity with purpose.
I graduated from Vancouver Island University with a Bachelor of Design in Graphic Design, then made the leap to Toronto to earn a Certificate in Advertising with a focus on Art Direction from Humber Polytechnic. In my journey, I realized I didn’t just want to make things look good — I wanted to make them work.
Now, as an Art Director, I get to do just that: craft visuals that move people, ideas that tell stories, and campaigns that live beyond the screen. I thrive on collaboration, curiosity, and coffee-fueled brainstorms that turn “what if” into “that’s it.”
When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me sketching in a notebook, exploring the city, or chasing that next spark of inspiration — wherever it decides to show up.
