Ahoy, I’m Kent.
An Art Director based in Toronto with ties to Vancouver Island. This West Coaster turned Torontonian loves creative storytelling.
Here is what people are saying about me:
“Organized, responsible, smart, dedicated”
“Stupid hippo, bright, enthusiastic, determined”
“You’re always chipper and bright, even when you’re not having a good day....and even in the morning!”
On the clock, I'm creative.
Off the clock… Honestly, I'm still creative. And I don’t think that will ever change.
It’s not just what I do, it’s how I’m wired. I’ve always been drawn to emotional storytelling. Growing up, I didn’t thrive in academic environments, so I poured myself into creative outlets instead. Places where my curiosity is encouraged, and not shut down.
Photography was my first love, learning how to capture light, frame moments, and find meaning in the everyday. This led me to design, and eventually into advertising. I realized I didn’t just want to make things look good, I wanted to make them work.
I’m mostly self-taught in my hobbies and curious by nature. I play six instruments (and own far too many of them), sketch constantly, and chase ideas until they turn into something tangible. The same curiosity is the same energy I bring into my work as an Art Director.
Collaborative, detailed-obsessed, and always asking “what if?”
Growing up on the West Coast gave me a deep love for the outdoors. Nature is where I reset, think, and refuel my creativity. Toronto doesn't quite match BC’s landscapes, but I still average 80km a week. Headphones in, ideas forming, and chasing the next spark that’ll lead to a great idea. Whenever it decides to show up.
Photography and creative storytelling is a life long love of mine. Here is just a sample of some of the work I’ve produced.
